It all started in IS3003 class. It was the second day of class and Nic was going back to the same spot he sat on day one, but to his surprise a cute girl with earbuds in had sat in “his” chair! Nic swore vengeance for having his seat taken!

Fast forward a few months and Nic invited Erica to a Neon Trees concert in Austin on the Halloween of 2014. Nic picked Erica up from the apartment she shared with her sister Melissa, and the two jammed out to a playlist Erica handpicked for their adventure.

Downtown Austin is crazy on any given night but it was a special kind of crazy Halloween night. After a unorthodox concert they returned to San Antonio for some midnight IHOP (we never did get our pancakes), and that is when Nic asked Erica to go steady with him!
